Frequently asked questions

When will I find out if my application was successful?

Applications are reviewed collectively to ensure a good mix of stalls. We aim to notify all applicants as soon as possible after their details have been considered. Please ensure your contact email is entered correctly on the form.
Can I share a pitch with another trader?

Pitches are allocated based on the specific products listed in your application. Sub-letting or sharing a pitch is not permitted without prior written approval from the Trade Manager to avoid product clashes.
What happens if it rains or is windy?

The Auckley Show is an outdoor event. If you are on a Field Pitch, you are responsible for ensuring your gazebo is high-quality and secured with professional weights (not just tent pegs). The show will go ahead in most weather conditions unless safety is compromised.
Can I bring a petrol generator if I have a silencer box?

Petrol generators are generally not permitted. If you have a specific need, you must request approval during the application process and provide a thorough risk assessment. We strongly recommend Diesel or LPG "silent" units to maintain the atmosphere of the show.
Why do I need a 4-star Food Hygiene rating?

To ensure the highest safety standards for our visitors, we only accept food businesses with a National Food Hygiene Rating of 4 or 5. We cannot accept applications from businesses with a lower rating or those awaiting inspection.
Do I have to pay when I apply?

No. You will only be invoiced once your application has been officially accepted. However, please note that your booking is not secured until the invoice is paid in full.
Is there WiFi available for card machines?

We do not provide public or trader WiFi. Most traders use 4G/5G mobile data for card payments, but please be aware that signal strength can vary on busy event days.
Can I park my van behind my stall?

Only if you book a "3m with parking" or "Large Pitch." For "Pitch only" bookings, you must move your vehicle to the designated trader parking area after unloading.
